In searching for a 54 inch bathtub I came across this one. I did more research and found I can and did purchase this tub from Ace Hardware's website and it was shipped to my local store for pick up. The price I paid was $109.00 +tax and free shipping. Also there were no disclaimers as this seller has eg: color and product may not be as represented. Also Ace does have these and other tubs in stock at all times and not a trhee week back-order

I ordered this tub for our bath renovation because it was $300 cheaper than the american standard version (exact copy). The shipping was done through a freight shipping company R&L Carriers. They said I could set-up a delivery appointment and they were also to call and set one up but that was never an option with them. I called them to set-up an appointment twice and they completely ignored me. My employer was angry at me because I needed a day off to accept the delivery or face a return shipping penalty and a restocking fee. Needless to say, the shipper did not deliver until very late Friday 5:45 p.m. to which I could have worked a full day if they would have respected my time and set-up an appointment. I lost a days worth of pay that would certainly help pay my other bills and had an angry boss because some business' just do not care about anyone but themselves. I have no problem with the item itself....but I had this tub delivered to my Grandmothers house....and when they got there they told her it couldn't be delivered...INTO HER HOUSE.....She is 80 years old...and lives in a not so great neighborhood as far as stealing goes. They left the tub OUTSIDE IN HER YARD. If I would have known that I had to hire someone to finish the job I thought I had already paid someone else to do, I would not have hired the first person I hired...Buy Plumbing needs to find someone else to ship through, because I will never buy anything else being delivered by R&L Carriers.
