AMERICAN STANDARD BOOTZ 54" STEEL TUB RH WH 0138-0140

Comment: I ordered this tub for our bath renovation because it was $300 cheaper than the american standard version (exact copy). The shipping was done through a freight shipping company R&L Carriers. They said I could set-up a delivery appointment and they were also to call and set one up but that was never an option with them. I called them to set-up an appointment twice and they completely ignored me. My employer was angry at me because I needed a day off to accept the delivery or face a return shipping penalty and a restocking fee. Needless to say, the shipper did not deliver until very late Friday 5:45 p.m. to which I could have worked a full day if they would have respected my time and set-up an appointment. I lost a days worth of pay that would certainly help pay my other bills and had an angry boss because some business' just do not care about anyone but themselves. All I can say is one word "REDICULOUS" I do not see why this tub can't be shipping by UPS but who knows. I even complained to R&L Carriers and never heard a single thing as far as an apology or anything. I am sure I paid extra to be able to set-up that delivery appointment but again, who knows? If I had done more research like the other reviewer, I could have saved all of the headache and saved another $100. 3/4 of the weight for the shipping charge was a pallet and the tub only weighs like 40 pounds (I could pick the tub up myself and do not see why it needed a pallet...would that not make you frustrated?). I inspected it quick and signed that it was fine only to find out that there is a dent in the tub but I think I can cover it up when it gets tiled in and sealed. Well, if you read this, learn from my mistake and go buy it at Ace...I know I wish I did a million times over.

Comment: In searching for a 54 inch bathtub I came across this one. I did more research and found I can and did purchase this tub from Ace Hardware's website and it was shipped to my local store for pick up. The price I paid was $109.00 +tax and free shipping. Also there were no disclaimers as this seller has eg: color and product may not be as represented. Also Ace does have these and other tubs in stock at all times and not a trhee week back-order
