I love this tub. I've always wished all tubs were this deep. A word of caution though: it is about 6" taller than average and not as easy to step into as you might think. I don't recommend this depth for elderly or otherwise limited mobility users. The quality is nice and it looks great. It isn't very thick material, but doesn't feel flimsy at all once installed. The first one I received was damaged, but Amazon took care of it. With truck shipping of delicate items you always need to remove them from the box before signing the ticket and write down any damage on the ticket. I think Amazon would have handled it either way though, I just called them up and they sent another one immediately. Shipping takes about a week on this item though.

I have used this same tub on fourteen remodel projects over the last five years and never had any issues. Always a perfect fit. This is a great tub to replace any old style five foot (standard) tub or new construction either way. The tub is very deep and finished very well.

The entire bottom structure is reinforced with fiberglass over treated wood to form a very level and rigid mount. Many tubs need to be set with a bag of cement to support the bottom of the tub. No need to worry with that on this tub, it has a solid structure in the center tub area and does not flex when you stand in the tub. I bought these for several years from Home Depot and they stopped stocking them and now I get them from amazon.com. The truck line carrier called prior to coming out and the box that the tub came in was in perfect condition.
